Group paintings take so LONG to finish!

There's a point in every long painting I'm doing that I tell myself "ok, I got the point, can I move to the next idea I have already?". It usually happens on the second rough or something, when I'm quite pleased with the result. But I always push myself saying "you know this could look even better with a bit more work" so I keep pushing myself to finish the piece with my fingers itching to draw the next idea I have. I also don't like coloring, it's just not my thing, but since it'd be a waste to leave a half finished drawing I do it anyway. I love the final result, I just don't like the way to it... Good thing I'm an animator and not a background artist.

I've been meaning to draw an Avatar Fan art ever since I saw that show a few months ago (well, I was busy with life and only now got to see it).
I believe that this is one of the best animated shows I've ever seen and I think it would be a prefect show if:

1. The characters would be adults and not children.
2. The show would be made in HD and Widescreen.
3. Katara and Zuko would end up together (Aang can have Toph and Mai doesn't even have to be there, she is so annoying!)
4. I would be on the animation team.

(Ok, I admit - I'm a Zutara fan... Expect more Zutara fan art in the future... Nhe he he...)

Thank you for listening.
Your humble servant,
Liron.

Wow, first of all, I love this picture. One of my favorite shows, always will be. One of the things I like the most about it is you didn't draw the characters straight as they were in the series. It's a creative liberty you don't see in most Avatar fanart. Also, your background is suberb. As yours usually are.

There are a few things that are bugging me however. I'm not really sure where the light source is supposed to be. While though it is consistent throughout the characters, it looks to me like the lights source should actually be behind the characters. Judging from the way you drew the background. I also wish the shading was a little more drastic. It seems to light to me to for the setting.

There's not much else I can critique. I love Sokka's stubble and Zuko's long hair. It adds alot of personality. Well done.
