~ More Registration Options For Online Animation Course ~

(For those who missed my previous Journal, please see all the details about the Course HERE)

Reviewing your feedback I am offering more Registration options for the Online Animation course.

:bulletblue: Registration for FUTURE courses:
People asked me if this course will be available again in the future. Basically I want this course running as long as there's demand.
But I also understand that people are busy or need to save money, and so I'm offering registration for future dates.
For now I'm offering courses for the beginning of May, June, July, August, September or October.
Remember that with one lesson per week, the course is about 3 months long + final optional project.
I wish to emphasize that registration (not course) if FREE with NO commitment. You can withdraw your registration at any time.
:bulletred: Only when you are set on a group, time and date you will be asked to pay for the course.
I do however need at least 3-4 people to open a group, so please be aware that there's still a chance you will register but a course will not be opened.

Private lessons will be according to the SAME group course with a few changes:
    :bulletred: Lessons are private, one-on-one, you get full attention from the teacher.
    :bulletred: Price for the private course is different and will cost: 499$ (USD) or 390€ (Euro) or 1800 ₪(NIS) <<<<<< Pay Attention!
    :bulletred: Payment is more flexible and will be divided to 4, meaning you will pay for each 3 lessons in advance (so 125$, 125$, 125$, 124$ for example)
    :bulletred: Each weekly lesson will be a bit shorter, 1 hour and 15min long (75min). So it's 1 hour for the learned material and another 15 min for going over homework.
    :bulletred: Lesson time fits your schedule, you don't need to consider other people.
    :bulletred: We can start right away once you registered, you don't need to wait for a group to be filled up or for a specific date.
    :bulletred: If you can't make it to one lesson, no problem, we simply postpone it and you won't miss anything.
    :bulletred: All the other advantages of a Private Lesson.

The rest is the same: the fundamentals of Traditional Animation, 12 lessons, 1 lesson per week, 3 months course + 1 final project, weekly email support, etc.

Many are asking if this is a one time course or will I open more groups later. I guess I wasn't clear - basically I want to teach, I want to have this course running as long as there's enough demand. So on one hand, there is a good chance this course will still be available, say, in the summer time when you have a break from school, but on the other hand if no one registers I will assume there is no demand to this course and close it.
I completely understand that people are busy, and although I can't promise anything, I assume there is a good chance I will reopen registration every once in a while.
But, I will still need to fill up groups with 4-5 people, else I can't open the course. I was using the "group" concept to make this course affordable, but if you are interested in private lessons, this is also available, for a bit of higher price. Send me an email/note if you are interested.

The Fundamentals of Traditional (2D) Animation

This course will cover the fundamentals of Traditional Animation (aka Classic Animation or 2D Animation).
This is going to be a basic course going over the basic rules of animation. There is a LOT to learn about creating an animated film, but right now I will be focusing on pure animating and the principles of animation (and there’s enough to learn here as well), because I believe once you learn that, it doesn’t really matter which tool you use to create your animations, they will always turn out great!

:bulletblue: For Whom This Course Fits?
As far as I see it, basically anyone who wishes to know how to animate using the principles of Traditional Animation can take this course.
Still, regarding the age – although my first student was 13 years old and he was quite good and a quick learner, I still think that you should be old enough to understand and follow through what I’m teaching.
As for drawing skills – you don’t need to be a skillful artist to join this course. Simple drawing skills are suffice, since we’ll be mostly doing simple stuff, like a bouncing ball or a simple face. If you understand the fundamentals of traditional animation, you can bring to life even the simplest dot.
 
:bulletblue: What to Expect from Each Lesson:
In each lesson we’ll go over students’ homework for remarks and then move to the material we need to learn next.
At the end of each lesson you will be given homework covering what we’ve just learned. Homework will be fairly simple and shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to do, but you can go “wild” if you like ^.^
After session is over I will upload to the group’s shared folder: The fully recorded lesson we just finished, a summery in points of what we learned and details of your homework. You will use the same folder to upload your homework before the next lesson.
Between each lesson I will be available in emails to answers questions you have regarding the previous lesson or your homework.
At the end of the course you will be given one final project to do, covering all we have learned during the course. You will have about a month to complete it and I will be guiding you through (by emails) during that time. This is not mandatory if you choose not to do the final project (for any given reason), since there are no grades or diplomas here anyway.
You will, however, get a symbolic “Graduation Badge” from me that you can post on your DA/Blog/any website.
 
:bulletblue: Technical Details:
Course will be held Online in small Groups using several simple Free softwares. Therefore I ask each student to show patience and understanding to the other classmates.
Lessons will be held once a week.
Day and Time for each group will be set according to your registration form.
Length of each lesson is an hour and a half (90 min)
Lessons will be held in groups of 4-5 people (depends on demand).
Each group will be built according to time zones (depends on demand).
Lesson will be in English, so you will have be quite fluent in English.
For the “Israel” group lessons will be in Hebrew (my native language).
 
:bulletblue: Softwares We’ll Be Using:
All the softwares we’ll be using are FREE, simple and very easy to learn.
All softwares support all Operating Systems.
We’ll be using TeamViewer for the lessons themselves.
We’ll be using Pencil for animating (you can do your homework in any other way you like, if you already have other 2D software you are familiar with, I will be using Pencil just because it’s simple and free).
And we’ll be using Google Drive for all the documentation and materials. (As far as I know) You don’t need to have a Gmail or Google account to access the folder, but it is preferred if you do have one.
After registrations you will receive full details on installing and setting up your computer for the lessons.
 
:bulletblue: Technical Requirements:
    * Either a PC or Mac. Even Linux is ok.
    * A fairly fast internet connection
    * Earphones and Microphone – this is a requirement. Based on testing it’s really hard for me to follow the chat window plus will be hard for you to type and listen to the lesson at the same time.
    * Drawing Tablet or some kind of means to draw the animation.
    * Lightbox and a Scanner is NOT mandatory, but if you feel like doing animation the old fashion way, you are welcome to do so as long as you upload your homework in some kind of video file.
        :bulletred: Be aware that I will not support scanning/editing/exporting for this method, this is why I recommend using “Pencil” software.
 
:bulletblue: How to Register:
Registration is FREE and EASY. Please fill out this Online Form and submit.
Once you registered please wait for an email reply assigning you to a group and day/time for the lesson.
By approving the day and time you will be asked to pay for the course (details for payment will be send) and that completes your registration.
 
:bulletblue: Payment Method:
Payment is in Advanced for the Whole course.
Payment is done after you’ve been assigned to a group and its lesson time.
Payment is via PayPal. If you have a credit card, you can use the “Send Money” option without creating a PayPal account.
* For Israeli student additional payment options are available.
 
:bulletblue: Refunds:
If you decide to quit after the 1st or 2nd lesson, you will be refunded 75% of the course price.
If you quit after the 3rd or 4th lesson, you will be refunded 50% of the course price.
If you quit after the 5th or 6th lesson, you will be refunded 25% of the course price.
:bulletred: Beyond the 7th lesson (the middle of the course) there are NO REFUNDS.
If 2 or more people leave a group I will have to decide whether to merge groups, add new members or close the group (in which case the students who stayed will be fully refunded for the remaining lessons, since this is not their fault). Subject will be dealt with if/when it happens and will be free to my personal judgment.

EDIT: Ok, I tested this with one person, but I think I will try again hopefully I will have more people online.... :(

First of all - I truly wish to apologize for the crazy delay regarding this matter. I know I kept telling people online "soon, soon" but weeks have past and we're already entering Spring (here at least the sun came out).
I have been taking care of some very important personal stuff lately, plus a lot of work I had to do.

In addition I've also upgraded my internet connection (still not the best but it's the most I can have in my country for a sane price) and reinstalled my computer for a fresh clean start and faster performances.
As I mentioned to several people online - the one thing that prevents me right now from starting the lessons is the technical issue of what platform to use and get the best performances (if any). What I fear most is that I won't be able to run a (mostly) smooth online lesson where you can understand what I show on my screen and we can have an online conversation. Sadly my country (Israel) sucks at upload speed, while download speed is fairly ok. Don't ask me why it's like this, my country has many issues... Only once I make sure I can run a normal lesson and have it recorded for you for second reference after the lesson, only then I open the groups.

And that's where you come in - RIGHT NOW!!!

First - if anyone has good experience with a free software or free online service to hold online meetings, please share the information with me.
I need to be able to - share my screen, voice speak to my viewers and my viewers voice speak to me and everyone else, and record the meeting.

I have checked Livestream, created a user and everything, but sadly discovered that not only there is quite a huge delay, but also I can't hear my viewers, they can only hear me and write to me in the chat room. Yes, I can use skype as well, but that will be more complicated using 2 means of communications. Plus with the delay you will hear me first and then half a minute later see my screen. That's a problem.

So right now I have TeamViewer, which is free and I use it at home for remote desktop, and there's Skype, which I also know I can share my screen and speak with everyone.
So the question right now is which is better. Which will be smoother. I think TeamViewer can also record my screen, I need to test this.

Online Animation Course - Thoughts

Hello everyone.
For those of you who answered my previous polls about the animation course, and for those who didn’t but are still interested, I’m writing this journal explaining the general idea and details of what I’m thinking of regarding opening an Online Animation Course in Groups.

:bulletred: Please take under consideration that what I’m writing here are only thoughts \ brainstorming for now. I still need to figure out things, including technical stuff, plus I need your feedback first before I sit down and write a whole course.

Here are the pointers:

:bulletblue: I will open a course going over the fundamentals of Hand Drawn Animation. This is going to be a basic course going over the basic stuff. If this goes well I might open an advanced course where we’ll learn editing, coloring, storyboard and basically all there is to know to create a short animation, but that’s still far far away right now.

:bulletblue: lessons will be online using a free sharing screen software (still need to find a good free one, one that we can also hear each other, let me know if you know of one).
Lessons will be in groups of 5.
The groups will be according to time zones, so it will be easier to find a good time for the lesson for everyone. So there will be, for example, an “America” group (or several, east and west coast), a “Europe” group, an “Israel” group (lessons in Hebrew, payment can be in shekels) if I’ll have enough students, and as for the Far East, only if I’ll have enough students.
In each lesson we’ll go over the material I need to teach and go over each of the student’s homework for remarks. That is the “price” of studying in a group, the fee is low, but you’ll need to be patient if your classmate asks questions you know the answer too. But who knows? You might learn a thing or two not just from me, but from your classmates as well ;)

:bulletblue: I am thinking of about 10 lessons more or less (still need to build the course) in a course of 2.5-3 months (so 1 lesson per week + homework).
Each lesson will be an hour and a half (<-! Because from past experience an hour isn’t enough, especially for a group).
Each lesson will cost 19 $ USD (I actually get 18 $ cause PayPal takes 1 dollar fee). (This is NOT the final price)
This also covers up the time beyond the lesson I need to spend going over the homework you’ll be sending me, getting ready for each lesson, and answering questions you might have during the week. So this is not just for that 1 hour and a half, k? ^_^
So the whole course, if it’s say 10 lessons, would cost 190 $ USD. (This is NOT the final price)
Payment is in ADVANCED, either for each lesson or for the whole course.
Payment is via PayPal. I apologize, but I won’t be able to accept payment in other methods. But you don’t need a PP account to transfer money, only a credit card.
You can quit at any time and get your money back if you paid in advance, but if 2 or more leave a group I will have to close the group for the others who stay, I’m sorry, or I might unit groups, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
But you should know that you are not obligated, this is for you, not for me, but of course I would be sad if you choose to quit (very very sad sit in a dark room hugging my legs and talking to the voices in my head….)

The course might include more stuff, I still need to go over things and organize a course, but this is what I could think of right now that will give you the general idea of this course.

:bulletblue: We’ll be using a free pixel based Hand Drawn animation software (such as pencil or I don’t know) because:
   :bulletgreen: No one would need to buy a software
   :bulletgreen: We can’t use the traditional way cause it would be technically difficult to run the lesson as I see it. You are welcome to do so in your homework, scan and edit a video file for class, but with this course I won’t be able to help you with that.
   :bulletgreen: Since we are learning Hand Drawn Animation you don’t need to be a specialist in the software, we’ll go over it together in the first lesson and learn how to draw frames, use onion skin, play and export to video. It’s very simple really.
   :bulletgreen: The software will be pixel based (and not vector based like Flash or toonboom etc) so it will be the closest thing to creating traditional animation on paper.

:bulletblue: At the end of each lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. They will be simple, but you need to be AWARE that you will HAVE to clear some time for this course. Again, this is for you, not for me.
You will send your homework at least a few hours before each lesson so I can go over it and mark the points you need to work on.
At the end of the course I might give you final homework to summarize all we’ve learned and you’ll have like a month to do it, or I don’t know, I still need to think about it.

:bulletblue: You don’t really need to know how to draw and won’t be judged if your drawings are not “Glen Keane” quality. Heck, there are no grades anyway! So don’t worry about that. We’ll be doing simple things, like a bouncing ball, or a box, or lines moving or even just a simple face. If you understand the fundamentals of traditional animation, you can bring to life even the simplest dot, k? ^_^

:bulletblue: Lessons will be in English (and Hebrew if I open an “Israel” group) only. I’m sorry, but you WILL have to be quit fluent to medium fluent in English in order for you to take this course. I wish I could speak more languages (even my Japanese is very basic), but sadly it’s won’t be fair to the other students in the group if someone can’t understand what I’m talking about because of language block. Please understand.

:bulletblue: Time Frame: I was thinking of starting this course AFTER the holidays are over, meaning January 2013 (if the world won’t end before that…^_^) so I will have time to build the course and people will be cleared of this whole season craziness. But if you think that you actually prefer to start now when you have free time from school then please let me know.

I just wanted to THANK YOU EVERYONE for your condolences and cheer ups! Really, it helps me so much to bare this pain when I see all of you "strangers" taking the time to support me in this time of need.

Hello Everyone.

I know I've been extremely away in the last couple of months. From the title I believe you can guess why.

It is with deep pain that I wish to tell you that sadly my mother passed away on July 4th 2012.
Without going into details and please respect my privacy, I will just say that she had been sick with a hard type of Cancer and after a long and hard struggle her condition suddenly deteriorated in a few weeks till her body just couldn't take it anymore and she simple died at home in my own arms.

This is life, this is reality, I understand that and frankly I'm pretty much ok, considering the situation.
After the funeral and 7 days of mourning (we're Jewish) were over and after I finally managed to get back to some kind of sane life I thought I should write a journal entry to let you know why I've been away and perhaps, I guess, to have some kind of outlet to my feelings, because I think it's important to talk about it and not hide it.
There's still a lot of stuff to take care of, but it's nothing I can't handle. And ya, I know my birthday is next week, but I guess I'll skip this year's celebration.

So that it, I guess. I'm really really ok and frankly I just want to get back to my life (my mom made me promise her that I will do that). I have tons of work piled up and a bunch of stuff to post, so I hope I will be able to do all that soon.

Help Ken Duncan With Kickstarter

Hello Watchers.

I'm sure at least some of you heard who Ken Duncan is. If not, perhaps "Meg", "Jane", "Captain Amelia" and "Thomas" (among other characters) would ring a bell.
Well, anyway, this x-Disney and one of my favorite Animators has his own studio now (for some time now actually) called "Duncan Studio". Being on my FB friends list (he probably approves everyone) he brought to my attention a new project they are working on called "My Beastly ABC's". It's going to be some kind of Storybook App and I guess will involve some animation in it. They are using Kickstarter website to ask for donations and that's where you come in! They offer all kind of cool prizes, depending on how much you donate. Since I simply LOVE Ken Duncan and since on their project teaser (which you can see on the website) Susan Egan (the voice of Meg and the actor of Belle in the Beauty and the Beast Broadway musical) is appearing, I just couldn't resist and thought I should bring this to - as many people as I can - 's attention.

On a side note, my family's issues are still the same. My mother is still ill and I'm still mostly busy taking care of her. Like I said before, this is something that is going to take a while, a long while, but we're hanging in there and I am even able to work a bit. I have a couple of projects coming up, I will post them once I get approval from the clients (I guess once the App is online and once the other project is done).
Other than that frankly I have zero time for anything else. Yes, I have no life. I'm always trying to catch up on things, but new things keep piling up and oh man I wish there were more hours in a day... The only thing that keeps me sane I think is watching a little bit of TV while eating (hey, I gotta eat).
I :heart: "The Legend of Korra"! I'm an official MaKorra Fan.

Hello everyone.

Hisashiburi da ne (It's been a while)... I'm still here, still alive. I had a few crazy months, but I'm happy to say that my mom is much better now and treatment is working. She is still not fully recovered and we're not out of the woods yet, but in the last month I finally managed to get back to stuff, mainly just catching up on all the things that piled up in the last few months. But I clearly have more time on my hands to take care of my own things. So I thought I should update my journal entry with a few stuff.

Difficult Times Set Me Away

Hello my beloved watchers.

I know I've been a bit away lately, not posting new things (except for the stuff I just posted, which have been laying in my computers for months now), having too many unfinished projects and not really working on something new. Sadly this will have to continue for a while from now.
Without really getting into details, let's just say that life has not been kind to me. My mother has been struck with a sudden illness and a long treatment awaits her.
Hoping that everything will turn out for the better in a few good months from now, I currently have to channel my time and efforts helping my mom and my family (and cats) and so will probably have less time for work and art.

So you probably won't see much of me in the next few months, but I will try to show my face here and there whenever I can.
Please understand if it takes me a while to reply to a question, a note or an email. Please try to avoid asking me things that are clearly explained in my article (about animation), tutorial (about coloring), commissions info page (about commissions) or Lady Ice website (about the DVD I sell). I always try to answer, but right now it's going to be difficult finding the time.

Also, I think I will :bulletred:CLOSE:bulletred: commissions for the time being. I might open them again in a month or so, not sure, it depends on many uncertain things.

As for Lady Ice DVDs - I'm still selling them, mostly because it's kinda hard to close the purchasing system I have. Reflecting on my stock it seems there are about 30+ Sets left, and with a shipment going out every week this stock will probably be finished soon.

:bulletyellow: I ran into a very talented Animator a couple of days ago (more correctly, he ran into me, sent me a note and I decided to feature him because this is MY journal and I can do whatever I want with it 8P).
Anyway, he's name is José Alberto Treviñ and he's from Mexico. If you like all the great Anime and Cartoons, such as Dragonball Z, Spiderman, TMNT, Sonic and the list goes on and on, then you should definitely watch his latest animation HERE

As for the request - We are trying to raise up money so we can feed all the street cats we feed on a daily basis (about 30-40 cats) with a better food, plus take care of the sick ones and the ones in need of special care (such as cats with no teeth who need wet and soft food that is very expensive). I've uploaded all those videos to YT cause the more VIEWS and CLICKS those videos have the more money is earned from the ads YT is attaching to each video. We are not trying to get rich here, heck no ^.^ and we don't expect for Maru or Simon's Cat, but if we can gather up like 50$ a month, then this with what we spend already should help us give these cats a better life.

So all I ask actually is to watch those videos, spread them around, maybe "like" here or there, pick just one you like and send it to your friends, I don't know. Anything to boost the "views". Hello.

You may have noticed the new Journal Design. I got sick of the old "Lady Ice" Design and had been meaning to change it for a couple of months now (yes... that's how busy I am). So now I have a new simple CSS and Header, a few buttons and a lot of babbling to do. Weeeee....

On to more important matters (involving money in which I buy food... for my cats...)

So what I have been doing for the last few weeks? Well... between work and personal stuff, such as finding a new born 2-3 days old kitten laying helplessly in the parking lot waiting to die, taking her in (vet said it's a she), raising her and luckily being able to find her a new warm and loving home, into she will move once she's big enough (wanna see pictures? [link], you may have noticed I started selling Vector Illustrations online via Stock Images websites (yayy... I know Illustrator now T_T <-I hate that software).

So if you in need of Illustrations at a cheap price, whether you are a company or an individual, hop hop to my ShutterStock Gallery to purchase my lovely (and sometimes weird) Royalty Free Vector Art.

I am emphasizing this again - I will NOT restock once they are gone, finished, no more. This has taken more of my time than I planned to and I mainly did this for the fans and for me, not to earn a lot of money or something, he he... (which I'm not, honestly). So I encourage you - if you were thinking of getting a copy but delaying for any reason (which I respect of course) I truly believe you should purchase a copy soon and avoid asking me later if I still have some copies left and will I be making more, cause I won't n.n

So I opened this morning my computer and as usual logged on to DA (I'm an addict, I need I help, I know), and to my big surprise noticed tons of messages that weren't there a day before:

I, like, just cleaned my inbox yesterday, and was going (head tilted to the side) "this isn't right..." . So after a few seconds of trying to figure out what happened I realized that

I was actually hoping for someone to feature my "Disney Moments" series, and this moment has finally arrived.
I only, he he, regret 2 things: 1. Esmeralda is actually not one of my most favorite character and was hoping more to feature Ariel, or at least Meg or Kida. And 2. I have more "Disney Moments" coming (yes, I know it takes me time to draw them, I truly apologize for that, but sadly I have to give paying work priority) and wish the series would have been featured when it's complete...
But that's just me and my twisted -always seeking for perfection- personality, so don't mind me, I'm just babbling here.

Ok. This has been lying in my Inbox for a while now and I kept forgetting I wanted to show it to you.

Ok. So I got this message a while ago from Herb Moore via LinkedIn, probably due to me adding myself into so many groups on LinkedIn and requesting connections from every Disney or Animation industry person I could find, but it was still a bit weird to get this. Yes, I'm sure it's more of a "spam" email he writes to everyone he adds to his connections to market his website, but still, I mean... WTF? I had to read it 3 times to believe it. It almost sounded like the usual emails I get from young uprising animators who ask for tips and guidance, but HE F@#ING WORKS FOR DISNEY!!! What the? Why are you showing me your website? Get me a job, dammit! Are times now that bad at the Disney company that you are succumbed to write to puny lowly unworthy me and ask kindly to check our your website and ask me what I think??? Yes, Herb, work a bit more on your timing and a bit more on you anatomy and do some more sketching and you're good to go................. :eyepopping: :confused: :wtf:

Anyway, I should write him something. Don't think it's gonna help or anytying, but I'll give it a try.

On a different matter, Commissions are *OPEN* and though I'm a bit busy with other stuff, I can squeeze in a few commissions, so feel free to note/commission me ^_^

Just wanted to update you about the whole "friend from the Philippines with a broken Wacom" solved crisis.
So thanks to your wonderful support his brother managed to purchase the oh-so-desirable wacom and ship it to my friend, AND HE WAS THRILLED OH HOW MUCH HE WAS HAPPY!!!!! He was just so overwhelmed with the new wacom and all the support he got he was just so over existed during the chat we had! And that was even BEFORE he installed the driver properly... he he... a bit of help from sensei and it was working perfectly in no time.

Now you can see on Facebook my Huge Ever-Growing Disney & Anime Collection too.
As much as I dislike (ok - hate, don't ask) Facebook, I find it more useful than MySpace, which was my best option at the time I uploaded all my collection years back. But after using Facebook for my Fan Page I realized that I can use it also to display my beloved collection.
So hop on (or click actually) to My Collection on Facebook, click on "Like" to follow and receive updates on the latest items I've collected. Oh! and check the photos gallery to see all the cool stuff I have in my possession (it's MINE! All MINE! Muahahahha). And of course feel free to leave comments on my Wall ^_^

For another matter, I was honored to be interviewed by the lovely Reda for his online blog regarding Lady Ice and my life as an animator.

:bulletgreen: SOLVED: OMG OMG OMG OMG AGAIN!!! And just when I thought it's too good to be true, it just got even better!

I just got word from my friend that yet ANOTHER wonderful person has made a generous donation!!! He didn't even mention his name on DA so I will have to refer to him as the "anonymous donator"... So after a few calculations my friend told me he should have enough money now to get the new wacom, and he won't even have to borrow money from his brother, which make things a little easier for them.
Buying the wacome will take about a week or two, cause they need to take out the money, the store needs to supply it, his brother will send it in the mail etc etc, so my friend asks kindly from all who commissioned him to please be patience, cause as I said myself - he can draw the commissions only AFTER he buys the new wacom.

In general I wish to point out that he does take commissions in general, so if any of you are interested, regardless of this specific -Solved- crisis, feel free to commission him any time, he really is a good artist.

And last - I wish to thank you ALL for helping out or even just taking the time to read this journal.

I had my suspicions but had to confirm it with my friend before I post anything. My friend literally cried and couldn't believe his eyes. Anyway, I would really like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to one specific person who opened up his heart AND wallet and donated a generous amount of money. You sir are a GOOD, KIND and WONDERFUL person!!!

And I would also like to give a BIG THANKS to another person, who also opened up his heart and helped:

With your help and a little extra from his brother (who will also go and buy the wacom, since my friend's leg is broken), my friend can get his wacom back very soon (he told me his bro need to drive to the this area where they sell it, so it will take about a week) and continue creating wonderful art.
Of course if you still wish to help, even commission simple sketches for like 5-7$, that would definitely help!!!
Once he buys it, he promised to send a picture with a thank you note or drawing, so I will post it here for you all.

I usually don't do this, but when I heard the details my heart was pinched and I just couldn't ignore and felt I must help is someway I can.
A friend and gakusei (student) of mine :iconmarfrey: was in a motorcycle accident a few days ago. Luckily (I guess if you're alive it means you're lucky) he came out of it generally ok, with "only" a broken leg AND sadly - a broken wacom tablet! (which was in his backpack at the time of the accident).
Considering he's from the Philippines, thus a low economy, no money in general and not even a health insurance (I was the one who actually made him realize that his leg is actually broken, doing it online while chatting on msn), even selling the little stuff that he has won't cover for a new wacom tablet, his most "prized" possession.

Now, Kujiki-Kun is a hard worker, a young uprising good artist, and wishes to work hard for his new wacom tablet. He only needs to raise up about a $100+ (can you imagine he doesn't even has that amount) and asks for your kindness and open hearts to help him reach his -very reachable with your help- goal. Even purchasing just sketches for like 5-10$ would help.

And for any of you who were wondering how he's going to draw your commission with no tablet (emm...I know I did), well - if he gets about 5-10 commissions he can immediately purchase the new wacom and then draw your commissions. If the goal is not reached soon, you'll get your money back, and I can vouch for him, his a good person who just need a little help.
