Yeah, I agree =) I don't know though, to me she flipped the switch a little TOO soon and a little TOO suddenly... I mean, I only read the first book so maybe it gets more understandable =)

Sailor moon is the series I am most familiar but I still think it has the most useless of characters -- Tuxedo Mask. I only saw the character as a male cheerleader.

Although I would have suggested that you put Ghost In The Shell into the list.
